Angels in the Warehouse

The brief

We Will Hear The Angels, staged in the Warehouse at the Fruitmarket in Edinburgh, used words, movement, and music to explore heartbreak. A cast of five actor-musicians performed pieces by Hank Williams, Orange Juice, Etta James, and J.S. Bach. The goal was to achieve at least 50% capacity for the 10 performances.

Our role

We managed a comprehensive marketing campaign, navigating a tight post-festive break schedule. We coordinated design and distribution of promotional materials in Edinburgh and Glasgow, engaged an external PR agency and worked closely with the venue for broader exposure. Digital marketing included targeted Meta ads and email newsletters, alongside online advertising in The List and The Skinny. We created a trailer using existing footage, organised production photography, managed complimentary tickets and created an online post-show survey.

The show achieved 73% overall capacity. The Meta ad campaign drove significant traffic with over 1,170 clicks. Survey results showed that over 50% of respondents were first-time attendees to Magnetic North productions. In terms of how audiences heard about the show, 27% mentioned email newsletters, 32% Fruitmarket channels, and 8% discovered the show from flyers or posters. The venue team were delighted with our collaboration.
